ASHTI’S ADVENTURES

Carmen Rubin is the author of the children’s book series, Ashti’s Adventures. She has gleaned from the lives of loved ones and those she has met along her journey of life, to bring life to her new character Ashti (whose name is a combination of her two daughter’s names and spirits).

Her character, ASHTI FREEBORN, is a multi-cultural pudgy, 9 year old who is fun, mischievous, imaginative, creative, and energetic. Ashti is also a smart, well-rounded girl whose adventures bring attention to identity and cultural/International awareness, environmental issues, family, traditions, music, and so much more. Carmen knows that by experiencing Ashti's Adventures, your child will be able to relate to stories that they will enjoy for a lifetime!

Meet Ashti is a 5-minute audio book of introduction to the character Ashti Freeborn and her family. The soothing voice comes from the author and it’s sure to keep your child wondering what’s happening next in Ashti’s world.

Ashti Meets Bird Man Al is a story of Ashti and her mother’s day in the park. While in the park they go chasing after a unique sound they hear. That chase leads them to an old man who is having a “whimsical musical experience" with the birds he feeds every morning. He tells them about his love for Jazz and his concerns about it becoming a lost genre. Ashti has a great idea and with the help of her family and friends, she puts her plan to work.
